Hi.

Welcome to my site. Sometimes I blog about my sewing.

I've Joined the Mood Sewing Network!

I've Joined the Mood Sewing Network!

Hi friends! I have a fun announcement to make today. Nearly a month ago, Brad’s Insta post (also embedded below) about applying for the Mood Sewing Network caught my attention.

‘Social Distancing’ doesn’t mean you can’t still be social! ⠀ ⠀ The biggest reason I started posting my makes online was the chance to connect and participate in this amazing online sewing community and now it’s your turn too! ⠀ ⠀ @moodfabrics is launching the brand new Mood Sewing Network (MSN) where makers, just like you, are encouraged to share their experiences, learn from others, and connect with other sewists who share the same passion for the craft-all while using @moodfabrics amazing fabrics!⠀ ⠀ So, come join the conversation and show off your skills! For more information, and to apply, visit the link in my bio!⠀ ⠀ HOW THE MOOD SEWING NETWORK WORKS: ⠀ ⠀ -Every three months, a new batch of creators will be chosen to show off their skills with @moodfabrics fabrics! ⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ -Those creators will receive a stipend to spend on moodfabrics.com, as well as a free peek into the VIP Insider Program for 4 months, a unique 10% off discount code to share with their followers, plus a $50 moodfabrics.com credit to host a giveaway on their social media. ⠀ ⠀ -After three months, new bloggers are chosen to ensure a wide range of diversity. However, this doesn’t mean past MSN bloggers can’t apply again! Feel free to apply as many times as you want for a chance to be invited back. ⠀ Robe • Simplicity 1563 @simplicity_creative_group ⠀ 📸 • @jennyephoto⠀ ⠀ #simplicitypatterns #moodfabrics #madewithmood #moodsewingnetwork #msn #sewingblogger #robe #frenchterry #sewersofinstagram #dopemensew #mensewing #sewing #sewist #modernsewer #makersgonnamake #modernmaker #memade #memadewardrobe #memade #socialisolation #sewingcommunity

(Brad is amazing, obvs. You should be following him if you’re not already on that train.)

While times are rather uncertain still, I am certainly interested in trying to maintain some “normalcy” in my life and chose to accept the invitation Mood extended.

Here’s what my participation constitutes-

I receive a $50 credit to moodfabrics.com each month from April through June and 4 months of the VIP Insider Program free of charge. I also get to gift a $50 gift card code to give away and a 10% discount code to extend to my followers.

You'll notice my fancy new MSN badge. I will be blogging about the project(s) I’m working on with materials from Mood and posting to my Instagram feed and Facebook page. I’ll also be reviewing the VIP Insider Program.

So let’s dive in on the fun!

I’m still deciding what fabrics to order for my first project, but I’m thinking couch couture is where I’m at right now. Here’s a few of the french terry options I’m considering:

Apologies if you can’t click through all of them. Some fabrics are offered to Members as early access and may not load if you aren’t an Insider.

I’ll post an update with the fabrics I receive and my project plans soon and also start the giveaway for the $50 credit for Mood Fabrics.

Stay Home and Sew, Friends!
