HavinSewMuchFun is the label for handmade goodies sewn by me, Loni Jakubowski.
Uninspired by the selection of commercially available nursery items, I bought my first sewing machine in 2013. I made coordinated linens and basic baby items for the daughter I was expecting. Simple clothing articles soon followed and then baby gifts for a special group of mom friends. The demand and my passion both blossomed. I now enjoy sewing clothing for myself, my family, and friends near and far; as well as pattern testing for indie designers. I've also been known to hoard fabric of all kinds, both new and reclaimed.
My first sewing space was a small area above our living room, accessed by a spiral staircase, which I loved to call "the sewing loft." We've since moved and have added another daughter to our family. I now have a rather roomy creative space in the barn-wood finished attic of our 19th-century home overlooking the Ohio River.
The picture above shows my mother's sewing machine. After mom's passing in 2016, her machine was relocated to my sewing space.
